E---The Festival du nouveau cinéma is dedicated to the dissemination and development of new trends in the field of cinema and new media. --- The wolf has been the emblematic figure of the Festival since its beginning. In the 2005 promotional poster it was compared to its domesticated cousin to tell people that the Festival was nothing like a tame dog but rather a wild, unconventional and uncensored event.
